Ananzi dial-up is an affordable dial-up Internet access package offering analogue Internet dial-up access, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at substantially reduced, affordable rates.

There are currently 3 Ananzi dial-up subscriptions available as follows:

- 3 months access = R 165.00 including VAT.
- 6 months access = R 305.00 including VAT.
- 12 months access = R 580.00 including VAT.

Please note that all subscriptions are payable in advance via on-line credit card transaction only.

Ananzi does not supply you with a modem or a telephone line.

Thus in order to apply for and use your Ananzi dial-up you will need the following:

- An Analogue Modem.
- An Analogue phone line.
- A Credit Card for payment.
- An Ananzi Mail free e-mail account.

Simply log in to your free Ananzi Mail e-mail account via the web interface at http://mail.ananzi.co.za and click the Ananzi dial-up image or the link next to it. This will take you to the Ananzi dial-up registration page. Complete the registration and submit your application. If your application has been successful you will receive an invoice and a receipt for the credit card transaction via e-mail.

Once your application has been processed and approved you will receive an Invoice and a receipt for the credit card transaction via e-mail at the e-mail address specified in your application.

You will be able to dial-up to the IS point of presence nearest you.

Your Ananzi dial-up username will be your Ananzi e-mail address, e.g. example@ananzi.co.za, and your dial-up password will be your Ananzi e-mail password.

Ananzi dial-up is currently only available in South Africa. You will be able to dial-up to any of the points of presence listed here.

Yes. You must have an active Ananzi Mail e-mail account to qualify for Ananzi dial-up.

No. Ananzi Mail remains a free web based e-mail service. Although you are required to have an active Ananzi Mail free e-mail account to qualify for Ananzi dial-up you do not require an Ananzi dial-up account to register or use your free Ananzi Mail e-mail.

No. Ananzi dial-up is an additional service and does not affect your existing free Ananzi Mail e-mail account. You must however have an active Ananzi Mail free e-mail account to qualify for Ananzi dial-up.

Yes. Ananzi dial-up provides you with Analogue dial-up Internet access. This will require you to establish an analogue dial-up connection via your Telkom phone line. You will still be liable for all call charges to Telkom.

No. Ananzi dial-up is currently restricted to Analogue dial-up only. We do not cater for ISDN digital dial-up.

You can only purchase an Ananzi dial-up account using a credit card via online application. No other form of application or payment will be accepted. You may select a 3, 6 or 12-month subscription payable in advance by credit card.

Yes, you have full access to News groups. The news server is: news.ananzi.co.za.

You may register as many free Ananzi Mail e-mail accounts as you desire. Ananzi Mail is a free web based e-mail platform. Simply visit http://mail.ananzi.co.za and select the sign up link to register. Your Ananzi dial-up account will however only be applicable to the Ananzi Mail account you used to apply for Ananzi dial-up. Not all free Ananzi Mail e-mail accounts come with Ananzi dial-up access.

You can retrieve you Ananzi Mail e-mail using a mail client by specifying pop.ananzi.co.za as your incoming (POP3) mail server (pop.mighty.co.za for Mighty users) in your mail client settings.

If you are dialing up to your Ananzi dial-up account you may use smtp.ananzi.co.za as your outgoing (SMTP) server (smtp.mighty.co.za for Mighty users).

However if you are dialing up to any other ISP to establish your Internet connection you will need to contact your ISP and use their outgoing (SMTP) mail server.

No, in order to be able to provide our customers with budget dial-up we can only process credit card transactions as other payment methods would increase the costs.

As soon as you receive a mail stating that your transaction has been successfully processed you can use your Ananzi dial-up account.
