Dear Ananzi Mail Subscriber,

Ananzi is launching a new Ananzi Mail service to provide a better email service to you. The new service will result in some changes to the Ananzi Mail service to provide more benefits to you, our valued users. These benefits include, amongst others, improved spam protection and faster access.

Ananzi Mail will not be available from 17:00 (South African time) on Thursday 20 November until 17:00 on Sunday 23 November to implement the new service. We apologise for this down time, but this time is essential to make sure that during the implementation all your email is safely managed. If you have important information on you mail that you need during the downtime, please print or store this elsewhere.

Your email address and password stays the same and you will not lose any email. However your address book will not be carried over into the new service.

After the 23rd of November there will be two options available to Ananzi Mail users:

To remain a Free User with the following features:

1. Free 2MB mailbox
2. Advanced spam protection
3. Updated and fast interface
4. Up-to-the-minute virus protection
5. Fast local access and support
6. No intrusive pop-up ads like other mail services
7. A bi-weekly promotional email newsletter
8. Access your mail account from anywhere with a web browser

Or to become a paying Ananzi Mail Plus User with the following features:

1. 50 MB storage
2. Advanced spam protection
3. Updated and fast interface
4. Up-to-the-minute virus protection
5. Access your mail account from anywhere with a web browser.
6. POP3 access from your favourite mail client (e.g. Outlook, Outlook Express, Netscape Mail)
7. Fast local access and support
8. No intrusive pop-up ads like other mail services
9. No bi-weekly promotional newsletter
10. From R8.29 per month

By default you will be a Free User and it is optional to upgrade to the paid for Plus option. However after 23rd of November certain existing features will be reserved for paying users:

1. Free users will only be able to access their email through the http://mail.ananzi.co.za web interface with their browsers. POP (Post Office Protocol) access through an email client e.g. Outlook or Outlook Express will only be available to paying Plus Users from the 23rd of November. Current POP users are urged to POP their mail and folders and not leave any information in their mailbox. If you wish to have POP access you will need to upgrade to a Plus user.
2. If your mailbox is larger than 2MB in size you can either delete old mails in your inbox or upgrade to being a paid subscriber. You have three weeks to decide, as on the 12th of December 2003 your mailbox will be pruned to 2MB.
